Dotmatics Streamlines Workflow for Antibody Research

Dotmatics has launched its Biology Solution for Antibody Discovery, a cloud-based, end-to-end software platform that integrates with popular scientific tools like Geneious, SnapGene, and GraphPad Prism to centralize data management, automate workflows, reduce errors, and accelerate antibody research amid a rapidly growing antibody therapy market projected to reach up to $700 billion by 2032.

Dotmatics has announced the release of its Biology Solution for Antibody Discovery, an end-to-end software and data management package designed to streamline data collection and workflows in antibody research. This solution integrates Dotmatics’ enterprise scientific platform with widely used applications in antibody discovery laboratories, such as Geneious, SnapGene, and GraphPad Prism. The integration aims to facilitate more effective and efficient discovery processes, accelerating the development of potentially life-changing therapies.

According to Mike McKee, president of Dotmatics, this launch represents the industry’s first comprehensive solution for antibody workflows, helping scientists harmonize data science with scientific data across R&D for biology, chemistry, and formulations.

A major challenge in drug discovery is the fragmentation of research data across siloed enterprise and local systems, which forces scientists to choose between speed and accuracy. Disconnected workflows often result in manual data handling, increasing the risk of errors and inefficiencies. The Dotmatics antibody workflow addresses these issues by providing a cloud-based, centralized data management platform fully integrated with trusted scientific applications and productivity tools. This automation of manual, error-prone tasks and centralization of data management enables organizations to make smarter decisions and accelerate antibody research.

The antibody therapy market is projected to experience significant growth, with estimates suggesting it will reach $700 billion by 2032, up from $186 billion, according to a 2022 report by Future Market Insights. Another report by the Insight Partners projects the global monoclonal antibody market will reach $243 billion by 2028, up from $111 billion in 2021.

Michael Swartz, senior vice president of enterprise product at Dotmatics, emphasized the company’s role in connecting scientists with their data to accelerate innovation and improve global health. Dotmatics is focused on providing end-to-end solutions with connected data and workflows, allowing researchers to use familiar tools while centralizing data to meet organizational needs.

The Dotmatics antibody workflow incorporates FAIR data practices and offers a comprehensive solution that spans early candidate selection through cycles of innovation, ultimately providing refined antibody candidates for animal trials and translational medicine.
