Rebeca Sanchez Sarmiento, with extensive Wall Street and CFO experience in corporate strategy, M&A, and enterprise SaaS, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Insightful Science and Dotmatics to lead financial operations, build governance, and support the companies' growth and potential IPO following their recent combination.
Appointment brings Extensive Financial Industry Experience
San Diego, CA and Bishop’s Stortford, UK, 17 November 2021 — Insightful Science, the world’s most widely adopted software platform for scientific R&D and collaboration, announced the appointment of Rebeca Sanchez Sarmiento as Chief Financial Officer of Insightful Science and Dotmatics. This move comes as the organizations continue to scale and strengthen their senior leadership team following their recent combination.
Rebeca Sanchez Sarmiento began her career on Wall Street as a sell-side equity research analyst at Deutsche Bank and Citigroup. She has extensive experience in corporate strategy, FP&A, and investor relations in both private equity-backed and publicly traded companies. Previously, she held CFO positions at InvestCloud and ATTOM Data Solutions, where she led transformative mergers and acquisitions, multiple capital raises, and two significant corporate restructurings, including InvestCloud’s $1 billion recapitalization earlier in the year. She brings a wealth of enterprise SaaS experience and a proven ability to drive scalable, sustainable growth through strategic leadership, operational insights, and financial transparency.
In her new role, Sanchez Sarmiento will focus on driving value by developing an integrated shared service environment to systematically scale and promote cohesion across all functions, supporting the organization’s M&A growth strategy. She will also be responsible for building the finance and accounting organization, instituting robust corporate governance and controls in line with public company standards in preparation for a potential IPO.
