What's New in Dotmatics Platform Version 6.1

Dotmatics Platform version 6.1 introduces a redesigned Inventory Module with enhanced hierarchies and workflows, modernized ELN form building with self-signing features, improved data discovery including multi-step reaction querying and large dataset exports, richer workspace visualizations, and expanded integrations supporting FAIR data principles and bidirectional biological sequence exchanges with tools like Geneious Prime, SnapGene, and Geneious Biologics.

Dotmatics has released Platform version 6.1, introducing several improvements and new features focused on user experience, data discovery, ELN enhancements, and integrations with other Dotmatics scientific applications. Key updates include:

  • New Inventory Module:

    • Completely redesigned for a modern and efficient user experience.
    • Features include easy-to-set-up hierarchies and relationships, custom location and container types, connections to registered samples, and guided workflows.
    • Integrated out-of-the-box with ELN, Data Discovery, Chemical Registration, and Biological Registration Modules.
  • New ELN Features and Enhancements:

    • Modern, simple ELN Form Building experience, responsive across devices and form factors.
    • Added self-signing and countersigning workflows for experiments to streamline experiment completion.
    • Enhanced PDF readability and configuration to accelerate research and remove bottlenecks.
  • Data Discovery Features and Integrations:

    • Seamless exploration and querying of multi-step chemical reaction data from Browser.
    • Ability to export large datasets from entire projects without performance compromises.
    • Richer visualization in Workspaces (formerly Blueprint).
    • Improved sharing and insight capabilities for small molecule experiments.
  • Integrations:

    • Support for FAIR data principles, enabling seamless exchange of biological sequence data between the Platform and Dotmatics bioinformatics tools.
    • Bidirectional search for Bioregister sequences from Geneious Prime and SnapGene.
    • Ability to register antibodies and antibody sequences into Bioregister from Geneious Biologics.
